Day 66 – Cleansing the funk

Day 66- What I feel like saying…
Islam has integrated some beautiful routines for me that I love and one of them is Ablution.
To me,
Ablution is a cleansing routine (or ceremonial act) for washing parts of body before I pray or recite the Quran.
Most of my spiritual friends, or new agey ones no longer stick to the religion they were born in. They respect all religions but they no longer follow any one exclusively. They believe in higher power and the Universal love.
Though I’ve changed a lot, I still am a Muslim. I felt Islam is perfect for me. And so I do my best to balance out religion and spiritual in my everyday.
One of my favorite thing about Islam, is ablution.
When I was younger, I used to take ablution often even when I’m not praying. And often when I come home, instead of just washing the legs, I do the ablution.
Ablution is intentional cleansing where we wash certain parts of body 3 times. Parts of body need to be wash with water only (or dust if no water is available).
Parts needed to be washed are hands, inside the nose, mouth, whole face, left and right arms, part of head, ears and both feet till ankle.
I understood that Islam take hygiene very seriously. We cleanse ourselves for almost everything.
Anyway, as I learn about spirtuality, energy and healing, I understood further that, taking ablution is like having an invisible shield.
Once I take an ablution, I felt like there is this energetic vibe surrounding me. And I felt protected all day.
Second, it recharges us. In energy healing, we often do brushing, cleansing with intent and many more to rid of any “negative” energy. Ablution does that as well.
When we come home, often, I was taught to wash our legs.
We don’t wear shoes that we wear outside, in our homes. We are barefooted at home. But even so, as a child, I always wondered why I have to wash my legs.
Sometimes the elders warn me with stories that if I don’t wash, “something” will follow me home (like entities, foreign energies, bad intentions from others….)
And now I understood.
Learning about energies, I understand that when we go out, we mingle with people (sometimes, we don’t even have to go out but the collective and surrounding energies can still affect us) .
And we come across various places. Some peeps have good intentions, thoughts, and even vibes. But some are struggling to do so.
As empath who understands that we can “sponge up” and absorb our surroundings….it can be overwhelming at times. And so I use many ways to “cleanse” myself.
Water is one of powerful element. And my favorite is ablution.
So when your energy get dense and “funky” while amidst the crowds, what do you do?
Shake it out? Rub it off? Wash your face? Do meditations? Take a shower? Do magnetic rolls? Shield up? Visualised angels cleansing your aura, auric energy, vibes? Say a little prayer? Do EFT tapping? Do emotion code? Go for healing sessions? Go for massage?
What about shower meditations?
Whatever it is, I know that you are awesome enough to find the best way for yourself.
Love,
Lina.
P. S: Together, let’s awaken our world by being our most authentic, joyous, abundant, loving selves.
It’s OK, if you don’t belong to the crowd. Belong to yourself is enough. You are ENOUGH.
Be the unique you and shine. You matter.
We matter. The world need us in our colourful truths. Stand strong. Rise bold.
Don’t matter if there is anyone with you or supporting you or the fact that you felt unwanted or rejected.
You don’t need permission to be you. You are a life warrior. Have courage to do what feels right to you.
Stop hiding in the shadows. Stop concealing your imperfections.
It’s OK if you have unhealed wounds. Resolute to learn/unlearn, grow and heal them. We are all works-in-progress.
Your existence is important and it is powerful. There is a great purpose/s in you being alive.
Remember that.
I may not know you but if I did, I know, I will love you. Because no matter what we are, we each deserved to be loved, seen, heard and matter.
This is what I believe. This is my truth. I’m Honouring it by sharing and spreading my message.
What is your truth? Get to know, explore. Then, Express and Share it.
