WHQ 10 KG Challenge

I LOVE MY BODY CHALLENGE: Lose 10 kg in 3 months!

Today, my mind went blank. What? It’s the first day of September, already? How time flies when one dread doing something “fun”..such as losing weight.


As mentioned the intention of this challenge is to reinvent our bodies to embrace in gratitude the miracles of our whole being (especially the body) that is beautifully bestowed upon us.

Ok, a little bit intro about myself. I am the founder of this site: www.worldhalalquest.com  I have been blogging since 2007. I started out with pen names : Backpacker Mama , then Putri Berendam and now as my own true name: Lina Masrina.


I am a Halal foodie. And that has become my daily passion. I may not look fat but do not underestimate my fatty deposits. I called them “kek lapis”. I can easily hide them all beneath the gorgeous clothes.


Why am I doing this challenge? I kinda slack recently and I felt like my body is low in energy. And of course, one wants to live longer in good health, right? And I’m gearing up for more World Travels and I need all the vibrant energy and good health to do that. And of course, all women wants to look good, right? Healthy, fit and beautiful…yeah! That’s ME! *hi-5

All I hope is that everyone be responsible for their own health and embrace the good health that we have now before its being taken away. And one of the way is to be healthy and fit.


I am the typical “lazy” people who don’t really fancy exercise and I eat all kinds of food (and I love crispy fried chicken skin!). But that does not mean, I do not care for my body. I love my body. I bring it everywhere I go (don’t you? *wink) And I want it to be in a healthier state. And I hope that I can maintain its healthiness throughout my lifetime.


I’m unsure what’s my strategy for this challenge. I’ve done raw and vegan diet before… after the backstage meet up with Jason Mraz in KL in 2009.

He inspired me so much that I was intrigued by his endless energy and stamina. And true enough, raw diet served me well. I’ve never felt any healthier and lighter and was always jumping and moving about, with so much energy. But I had to change back to my “old self” as I resume my duty as the Halal foodie writer/reviewer in the World Tour .

Oh well…
