FOOD CULTURE

Found this place by chance….when I was roaming about..
There were many stalls. I cannot take many shots because cameras not allowed (Sshh..dont tell) .They have dim sum, ban mian, yong tahu, nasi padang, western food, chinese chicken rice and others like hokkien mee, carrot cake…etc and korean stall.
Nasi padang was ok, I like the asam pedas with very thick ikan pari..
Korean stall similar like Zingdo
Tasted like instant noodles. The only thing I like is the little kimchi on the bottom left of this pic.
Western food stall (fish and chips is ok, they also sell GERMAN sausages, I wonder how it will taste?)
Yong tahu -fresh broth with fresh ingredients, I like the fishballs and tofu!
White chicken rice (I ordered the thigh but had to pay extra $4.50 for thigh) Nothing special if compared to other $3.50 white chicken rice. The portion given is not that big anyway.
Dont forget to try PIE KIA or the side stalls that sells some yummy malay kuehs..
$1 each for Kueh lapis (pink), kueh lapis green bean (green) and the middle kueh is..err..forgotten about it..all tasted GOOD!
The middle kuih is koleh-koleh, right?
Love the ice kacang at Food Culture there! But they seem to have reduced the portion, and now they actually use kinda flat squarish white plates, and they put the ice with the colorful syrups in the middles with the ingredients (red beans, attap chee, whatever else, I can't remember) at the side! A bit difficult to scoop the liquid when the ice has melted! Fortunately the taste of the ice kacang has not deteriorated.
Other than this, the food from the other foodstalls are just so-so.
BTW, Causeway Point Banquet has quite delicious (in my opinion) char kway teow & black carrot cake. They are served on upeh leaves too.
